Join David Brancaccio of NPR’s “Marketplace” on Saturday, June 18 at the South Orange Performing Arts Center as he hosts the “Greatest SOMA Dinner Party Ever!” as part of the SouthNext Festival.

“It’s a star-studded group and each and every celebrity lives close enough to walk to the venue,” said SouthNext founder and organizer (and South Orange Village Trustee) Steve Schnall.

The panel conversation will explore “how each of our celebrities chose to live in SOMA, and how life here is uniquely different from living in other areas around the country,” Schnall added.

Guests include:

  • Marc Morial — former two-term mayor of New Orleans, and current president of the Urban League
  • Kelly Bishop — Award winning actress from stage, screen and television
  • Johanna Wright — beloved teacher, award winning basketball coach, inductee into Madison Square Garden Hall of Fame

Despite the fact that this is being billed as the “Greatest SOMA Dinner Party Ever!”, the event takes place at 1 p.m. (hey, you can get in the dinner party mood with cocktails beforehand at Biscuits and Bourbon).

Admittance comes with purchase of a SouthNext wristband. Buy one here: https://www.southnextnj.com.
