The Maplewood Ideas Festival got off to a gangbuster, scintillating start on Saturday at The Woodland with a discussion with NY Times best-selling author Angie Thomas (“The Hate U Give”) and Harvard Kennedy School Professor Khalil Gibran Muhammad. See photos by Matt Peyton below.
The Festival continues on Monday, March 20, when Frank Rimalovski, Executive Director of the NYU Entrepreneurial Institute, presents his talk, “Have an Idea? Now What?!” at the Main Branch of the Maplewood Library. Rimalovski leads an initiative to spur and support entrepreneurship and technology commercialization, and directs a seed-stage venture fund formed to invest exclusively in startups.
The event takes place 7 p.m. at the library at 50 Baker Street in Maplewood.
The Ideas Festival is funded by The New Jersey State Council on the Arts (supported by grants from the National Endowment for the Arts), The Friends of the Maplewood Library, The Maplewood Library Foundation, The Maplewood Woman’s Club and [words] Bookstore.
