The following is from the Springfield Avenue Partnership

On Sunday, May 21st from 11 am to 5 pm, Maplewood’s annual MayFest Street Fair returns to Springfield Avenue. The fair runs along Springfield Avenue in Maplewood NJ, from Indiana Street to Rutgers Street and includes lots of activities for the kids (pony rides, petting zoo, face painting, crafts and more) plus retail vendors selling a wide variety of merchandise and featured local non-profits.

And we can’t forget the food! You’ll find local businesses like Gigi’s Cupcakes, Pimento Grill and TO-P 3 Japanese Fried Chicken and Ice Cream, along with traditional street fair food.

MayFest will also showcase 4 stages with live music by popular local bands, a DJ and special performances and demonstrations by Springfield Avenue dance and self-defense studios. These local bands will perform at the corner of Springfield Avenue and Prospect Street:

Special performances include LaChaney’s Dance & Music Academy, Blue Life Karate and Inspirational Dance – all Springfield Avenue businesses. There will also be a special performance by CHS Alum, Autum Jones. These performances will be held at the corner of Springfield Ave and Yale Street:
