Steve Beal is a watercolor artist. He has said “ …when I paint, I use a wet in wet technique, which allows me to be a sort of spectator as I watch the colors interact with one another. I consider it a form of magic. Shadows intrigue me – most of my paintings feature this interplay of values from dark to light”
Kenneth Witkowski is a pastel who refers to his work as Industrial American Landscapes, an homage to his roots in the Perth Amboy/Carteret area of NJ.
Ken and Steve also enjoy playing music together as a duo and are two thirds of the musical trio The eMKayS, who can be found performing in coffee houses throughout the area.
