The Black Monk, a Chekhov-inspired film by Marylou & Jerome Bongiorno
Film Clips & Chat with the Filmmakers & Actor Drew Dix
Wednesday, November 30 Main Library 7:00 pm
Emmy-nominated, award winning filmmakers Marylou & Jerome Bongiorno will preview and discuss clips from their upcoming film, The Black Monk, joined by Maplewood actor Drew Dix, who is featured in the film.
Directors and cinematographers often create storyboards of their shots for a film. For The Black Monk, Jerome took a novel approach and animated the storyboard “actors” into walking, talking avatars.
Marylou & Jerome will screen some of the animated storyboards, then show the actors’ interpretation of those movements in the actual film.
