Maplewood Health Department Offers Free Spring Public Health Programs

The Maplewood Health Department is offering a variety of free and public health programs for residents this spring. The programs include cancer screenings, blood pressure and glucose screenings, and expired prescription drug collections. March 21st, Overlook Van FREE Blood Pressure and Blood Glucose Screening, 12-2 PM, outside of the Hilton Branch Library, 1688 Springfield Ave. For an appt, call (800) 247-9580.

March 30th, Oral, Head and Neck Cancer Screenings, 101 Old Short Hills Rd., Atkins Kent Building, 3rd Floor Suite 101, West Orange. Screening Appts available, please call (888) 724-7123 to register, 8 AM- 1 PM, 2-6 PM

April 4th, Free Oral Cancer Screening, 9-3 pm, University Hospital, Bistro Café located on B level, inside cafeteria. Call (973) 972-1923 for more information.

Adult Health Clinics: April 16th at the Maplewood Main Library, 51 Baker St., 10:30 Am- 12 noon, and April 20th, at Maplewood Town Hall 574 Valley St., 10 AM-12 noon.

April 17th, Medication Reconciliation Program, Winchester Gardens Auditorium, 333 Elmwood Ave., 2:30 PM. Free and open to the public. Presentation by St. Barnabas Medical Center

April 29th, Prescription Drug Take Back Day, 10 AM-2 pm, Maplewood Police Headquarters, 1618 Springfield Ave. Doing some spring cleaning? Get rid of your prescription and expired over the counter medications safely at this event.
