Police: Leads, No Arrests Yet in Armed Robbery of Female Seton Hall Student

South Orange Police are continuing to investigate the armed robbery of a Seton Hall University student on February 6, but no arrests have been made yet.

“We are actively investigating it and have developed some possible leads,” said Chief Kyle Kroll in an email on Thursday.

The incident took place at around midnight on Monday, February 6 when a the female student was robbed by two masked men while she was walking west on Wilden Place near Eder Terrace.

The student described the first man as black, about 5’6″, and wearing a black hoody with a white zipper and black jogging pants. The second was black, 6’0″, dressed all in black and brandishing a small, black handgun, police said.

The two ran away into the backyards of a residence on Wilden Place and according to a witness, they jumped into a silver, four-door sedan and fled east toward Newark.  The student was not physically injured, said police.
