From the Maplewood Middle School HSA. The Dance-a-Thon will be a well-monitored test of endurance and stamina (as well as just plain old fun) for the students:

Maplewood Middle School will be hosting its first Dance-A-Thon fundraiser! The student council, PBIS (Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support) committee and Home School Association are working together to raise money for the school store and other school wide events.

Where and When:

  • Friday, October 28th, 2016 — 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Dancing will occur in the Maplewood Middle School Gym
  • Food trucks will be set up in the parking lot behind the school

The community is encouraged to come and watch the event. Those who wish to come and watch, purchase snacks, and hang out will pay $5 at the door per person.

Other Details:

  • Students can register to dance if they raise $25 in sponsors.
  • The Dance-A-Thon will conclude with an Awards Presentation at 10:30 p.m.
  • Pledges/donations can be submitted through the HSA website (www.mmshsa.org) with “danceathon” in the comment field.
  • A live DJ (DJ Untouchable) will be at the event the entire night.
  • Food will be available for purchase for those watching the event. There will be two food trucks at our event available to the public in the Maplewood Middle School Parking Lot! The “No Pao” Food truck will be serving Portuguese food and the “Soccer Chef Wagon” will be serving American classics.
