Words Bookstore hosted its annual Where’s Waldo local grand prize drawing on Thursday, with children and their parents attending to see if their “Find Waldo” efforts would win them one of many locally-inspired prizes. They enjoyed snacks, refreshments and some Waldo-themed activities before finding out who the lucky winners were.
The bookstore gave away prizes from local favorites including Able Baker, Bee & Thistle, Cedar Ridge Cafe, Framing Mill, Gigi’s Cupcakes, Hopscotch, Kokoro, Lickt Gelato, Lotus Petals, Ma/Da, Maplewood Karate, Maplewood Pizzeria, Maplewood Stationers, Maplewood Theater, Matters Magazine, No. 165, Park Wood Diner, Perch Home, Roman Gourmet, Salvage Style, Shenanigans Toys, Strawberry Fields, Truly Yours, Village Coffee Co, Village Ice Cream Parlour — and Words Bookstore.
The grand prize winner — Sofia Kern-Benigna — won a full 6-volume deluxe set of Waldo books from a smaller drawing of those who found Waldo at 20 stores in town.
Perhaps the best treat was given to all those who attended the Waldo celebration — a Waldo themed cookie compliments of Able Baker.
