Menorah Lighting

Hanukkah begins today, and Maplewood and South Orange will mark the eight-day festival of light with menorah lighting ceremonies:

December 21, South Orange

South Orange will host its Light the Menorah celebration on Sunday, December 21 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Spiotta Park (South Orange Avenue at Village Plaza) in the Village Center. Enjoy music and free hot chocolate and jelly donuts. The event is sponsored by Congregation Beth El, Oheb Shalom and Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel with the support of South Orange Village and the South Orange Village Center Alliance.

December 22, Maplewood Village

The Maplewood Village Alliance and Dickens Village present the Menorah Lighting at Dickens Village in Ricalton Square, Maplewood Village, at 6:15 p.m on Monday, December 22.

Springfield Avenue, December 16-25

The Springfield Avenue menorah will be lighted each night of Hanukkah, December 16-25. There is no specific lighting event.
