When Matt and Jennifer Glass met while working on the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in the 1990s, they must have known big events were in their future together.

Flash forward and Matt and Jennifer are running Eventage, the South Orange-based agency that produces major national events like New York’s Five Boro Bike Tour and portions of the New York City Marathon.

Since 1998, they’ve been running events for major charitable organizations and corporations alike — from the Make-a-Wish Foundation to Budweiser, from Lighthouse International to Samsung, and many, many more. (See a catalogue of their events here.)

Their work is garnering both Eventage and South Orange positive attention.

Recently, Eventage was honored by the editors of Event Marketer magazine with inclusion in the 2016 ItList. The ItList is a submission-based recognition program in which the editors of the industry’s largest publication select the top 100 “experiential” (read: event management) agencies nationwide.

“What were we looking for?” said the editors of Event Marketer upon the announcement of the winners. “The agency offerings needed to be fully experiential. The strategic value of the agency’s work needed to be supported by evolved offerings, client testimonials, case studies and awards. The quality of work needed to be high-caliber and, most importantly, consistent. The creative work needed to be strong.

“And as always, it didn’t matter whether the agency was a veteran or a newbie, longtime ItLister or not, so long as it raised the bar and furthered the evolution of the event industry. Indeed, hundreds entered—only 100 made it.”

Matt and Jennifer Glass said that they are thrilled that Eventage is being honored once again.

“With all of our new business generated by word of mouth, we greatly appreciate the exposure the ItList give us,” said Matt, Partner and Chief Creative Officer. “We’re proud to be in the company of a lot of big and talented agencies and look forward to continuing to provide our clients with the best creative and production services.”

Eventage recently celebrated 10 years headquartered in South Orange. The company’s full-time staff currently numbers 17 employees, 15 of whom are based in the South Orange office at 18 South Orange Avenue.

Matt also serves as the Chair of the South Orange Village Center Alliance, which helps explain why events like PlayDay South Orange and the Food Stroll and Pub Crawl have been successful right from the get-go.

Matt explained, “We’re proud to call South Orange home. The Village has become a valuable home base for our operations from coast-to-coast.”
