From The GenWealth Group:

The GenWealth Group, an independent registered investment advisor based in New Jersey, will host the 4th annual GenWealth Walks for Hope in Maplewood on Saturday, October 1. Enjoy breakfast, T-shirts and a 3-mile group walk around Maplewood Village. All proceeds are donated to brain cancer research.

The passing of longtime Maplewood resident and business owner Angelo Vayas was the catalyst for the event. A cherished member of the Maplewood community, Vayas died from a rare form of brain cancer after a valiant battle.

“Angelo was a good neighbor and fellow merchant. He was beloved by all members of this community, and known for his constant generosity, huge smile and passion for town. We honor his memory with this event,” said Michael Leanza, CFP, owner of The GenWealth Group. “Having this event in his honor is our way of saying thanks for all he did.”

100% of the funds raised by this event will benefit The Caroline Vandemark Fund for Brain and Spine Tumor Research. Established in 2013 in memory of Caroline Vandemark who lost her life to brain cancer, the mission of the fund is to raise support cutting edge brain and spine cancer research at the John Theurer Cancer Center at Hackensack University Medical Center in NJ.

Participants in GenWealth Walks for Hope will be asked to make a voluntary donation to The Caroline Fund (suggested $50.00). Donations will be collected in the form of a check payable to The Caroline Fund on the day of the event.

Participants will receive:

  • Pre-Walk Breakfast
  • Guided 3-mile walk through beautiful Maplewood Village (led by Risa Olinsky, Count on Yourself Coaching)
  • Commemorative Team T-Shirt

Registration for the event is limited and now open at www.thegenwealthgroup.com
