Maplewood Loves Wellness

Maplewood announces a number of health-related initiatives for late summer into fall.  Mark your calendars now for a blood drive; adult health clinics; blood pressure screenings; and end-of-life conversations.  All events are free and the public is encouraged to attend.

American Red Cross Blood Drive

Tuesday August 25, 2:30- 7:30 pm at The Woodland.  Appointments are preferred, and donors will receive a gift card to Dunkin Donuts.

Adult Health Clinics

Public Health Nurses offer blood pressure, carotid bruit screening, and medication, weight and health counseling at two locations, once a month.  Click here for program dates and times at Town Hall or at the Main Library or Hilton Branch.

Public Health Nurses at the Maplewood Farmers Market

Public Health Nurses will be at the Township Farmers Market, on August 17,  September 21,  and October 19, offering free blood pressure screenings and providing information on Township events and activities from Town Hall. 

Have You had the Difficult Conversation? How to Express Your Wishes

Join us for a program by the Saint Barnabas Medical Center Geriatric Health Center on the importance of creating and discussing the Advanced Directive and Living Will and end of life health care. This program will be held on Wednesday, September 30 at 2 p.m. at St. George’s Episcopal Church. Please register at Barnabas Health Link (888) 724-7123.
