South Orange-Maplewood Adult School Presents ‘America & the World: Will We Stay #1’ on May 7

The South Orange-Maplewood Adult School Presents The Eva Samo Lecture America & the World:  Will We Stay #1 on Tuesday, May 7 at the Columbia High School Library.

Join leading analyst of world politics, Professor Ralph Buultjens, on Tuesday, May 7, 7:30pm at Columbia High School’s Library as he discusses vital issues for America in the context of the current global situation. Since World War II, America has clearly been #1 in world affairs and reaped all the benefits that global leadership brings. Now that position is challenged: externally by the rise of China and other developments; internally by our present foreign policy and its lessening commitment to internationalism. Are we in a new era where our world leadership is at stake? What are the consequences for us and our allies like Israel? Can it be reversed? Dr. Buultjens is a professor at New York University and the former Nehru Professor/Professional Fellow at the University of Cambridge. He was awarded the Toynbee Prize for Social Sciences and is the author of 10 books on world affairs.
