Colin Hay

October 19, 2017 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

$43 – $53

As the singer, guitarist, and primary songwriter of Australia’s Men at Work, Colin Hay was responsible for penning several of the quirkiest Pop hits of the early 80s such as “(The Land) Down Under,” “Overkill” and “Who Can It Be Now.”

Men at Work enjoyed nearly half a decade of success before splitting up as band members embarked on separate musical journeys. Following the break-up of Men at Work, Hay embarked on a solo career in which he’s recorded over a dozen albums and become involved in film and television.

Hay contributed “I Just Don’t Think I’ll Ever Get Over You” to the soundtrack of Garden State and has had roles in other cult movies such as Cosi and television shows such as Scrubs, The Larry Sanders Show, JAG, The Mick Molloy Show and What About Brian. Hay has also been a member of Ringo Starr’s eighth and tenth All-Starr Bands.

His most recent album, Fierce Mercy released in 2017, is an epic, cinematic step forward exploring themes of love and loss, mortality, and even the odd UFO sighting but always with the singular perspective and insightful wit that defines Colin Hay’s work.
