Teen Writing Club session

Good writing is a skill that filters into all parts of life, and young people have a big advantage when they can write with clarity and expression. Get It Write!, a program of Daiscan Inc, (a local non-profit arts organization), is looking for young people ages 12-18 to join a writing club that will meet once per month. Targeting youth in Essex and Union counties, the Teen Writing Club will support, teach, give encouragement and stimulate interest in the writing process.
During each session, students will explore and learn how to compose essays, poems, fiction comic books, spoken word, journals and feature stories. Participants will get the opportunity to practice their craft, share their ideas with others and have their work published or performed.
