From the Township of Maplewood:

Early bird registration for the Maplewood Community Pool is now open and will be available through Sunday, May 1st.

Registration Information:

You can register for the pool a few different ways (*Must be a resident of Maplewood or South Orange*):

Register online at: https://register.communitypass.net/maplewood 

Register by Phone: (973) 763-4202

Register in person at: Recreation Office at 574 Valley Street in Maplewood. We are open 9am-4:30pm Monday-Friday.

2016 Pool Fees:

Photo ID Cards:

All pool members must have an active pool card (except children under the age of 3).  Photo IDs can be taken at the Recreation Department. If you are unable to take a photo in person, you can email your photo to us @ recinfo@twp.maplewood.nj.us and we will mail you your ID!  In your email please identify correct picture with correct names, including family ID and home address. Please make sure all pictures are current and please send in JPEG format.  Once your membership is paid in full, we will mail out your IDs ASAP. 

Swim Lessons:

Registration for Swim Lessons will be open on Monday, May 2nd at 9:00am. The schedule is currently posted on the Township website.

Guest Passes:

Guest passes are not available for purchase at this time.  We will send out an email blast when they are ready for purchase.  Please remember, only Maplewood Pool members can purchase guest passes and guests must be with a pool member at time of entrance.

Editor’s note: the Township is considering raising fees for rental of the pool for parties and for guest passes, as well as eliminating guest pass booklets. See chart below for more details on the proposed changes:

REMINDER: Friday, May 1, 2015 is the “EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT” DEADLINE for REGISTRATION to the 2015 MAPLEWOOD COMMUNITY POOL.

Just sending out a friendly little reminder that the Early Bird Special is valid through May 1, 2015. Don’t Miss It!

You can register by coming into the Recreation Department located at Town Hall, 574 Valley Street, calling the Recreation Department (973) 763-4202 or register online by clicking https://register.communitypass.net/maplewood.

POOL INFORMATION
Below is general information about the Maplewood Community Pool.  The pool will open on May 23rd.

Pool Hours:
May 23 – June 20 Weekends only / 12pm – 6pm
June 15 – June 19 only / 4pm-8pm
June 21 begins Normal Weekends/ 10am – 8:00pm
June 22 – 26 only / 2pm – 8:00pm
June 29 begins Normal Weekdays / 12pm – 8pm

Photo IDs:
Photo IDs are required for all members. If you were a member last year, your ID will be re-activated upon payment for 2015. You can get your photo ID’s from the Recreation Department at 574 Valley Street.

If you are unable to come to the department, you can email us your photo. We will load it onto a card and send your card in the mail. The email address you can send your photos to is recinfo@twp.maplewood.nj.us. If you have any questions about your Photo ID card for the pool, please call (973) 763-4202.

Replacement Cards: If you were a member last year and you have lost or misplaced your ID card, you can obtain a new one at the Pool or at the Recreation Department for a fee of $5.

Guest Passes:
Passes are purchased at the Maplewood Community pool during normal pool hours. Adult Guest Passes are $12 each, Children Guest Passes (17 and under) are $7 each.

Save some money at the Recreation Department between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday- Friday. Guest Pass Books are available for purchase. Books come with 5 guest passes each. Adult books are $48, Children books are $28.
All guest pass purchases are final. Sorry, no refunds.

Waterslide Rules:
           * You must be 48″ tall or able to swim one pool length unassisted
* No tubes, mats or lifejackets permitted in flume of body slide
* Only one rider at a time. NO doubles or chairs.
* No diving or jumping from waterslide.
* Follow the instructions of the waterslide attendant.
* Enter waterslide in sitting position.
* Ride waterslide feet first either sitting or lying down on back.
* Keep both hands & feet inside the waterslide flume at all times.
* Exit plunge pool area immediately.
