Maplewood Kid’s Camp Registration Open for Maplewood, South Orange Residents

What better way to spend a snowy March day than planning for summer?

To help you out, Maplewood has announced that registration is open for Kid’s Camp, a traditional day camp for children in kindergarten (age 5 by Oct. 1, 2015) through 5th grade offered through the Maplewood Recreation Department.

Kid’s Camp is for Maplewood and South Orange residents only.

Location:     DeHart Community Center -120 Burnett Avenue, Maplewood, NJ

Six sessions:

Session 1 June 29^th – July 3^rd

(Trip to Rebounderz on July 2nd)

Session 2 July 6^th – July 10^th

(Trip to Point Pleasant Boardwalk on July 9^th)

Session 3 July 13^th – July 17^th

(Trip to Mountain Creek Waterpark on July 16^th)

Session 4 July 20^th – July 24^th

(Trip to Six Flags on July 23^rd)

Session 5 July 27^th – July 31^st

(Trip to Medieval Times on July 30^th)

Session 6 August 3^rd – August 7^th

(Trip to iPlay America on August 6^th)

Cost:

Full Day $220.00 (if paid by May 8^th)

Half Day $150.00 (if paid by May 8^th)

Full Day $250.00 (if paid after May 8^th)

Half Day $175.00 (if paid after May 8^th)

Campers must bring lunch each day unless otherwise notified.

Campers swim four days a week at the Maplewood Community Pool.  All campers are swim tested and assigned pools accordingly.  Parents now have the option of having their children enrolled in swim lessons during camp hours.

Each week the camp leaves the community center for a field trip.

Your child must be wearing their camping shirt, and we recommend that you send extra spending money with your child for games and food.

Our staff is comprised of local high school and college students. They are trained by the American Camping Association, and hold certifications in CPR and First Aid.  All of our staff is available to help answer your questions.

Half day campers will attend camp from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

Full Day campers will attend from 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM.
