Three men attacked a woman before stealing her car on Jacoby Street near Boyden Avenue on Sunday at 10:30 p.m., said Sgt. Christopher Black of the Maplewood Police Department.
The woman, a Bloomfield resident, was walking back to her car, which she had left running, when three men in their late teens to early twenties grabbed her and pushed her to the ground, said Black. The men then got into the car, a late model Honda Accord, and drove away toward Schaefer Rd.
The woman was treated for minor scrapes and bruises but did not need to be taken to the hospital, Black said. The car was recovered the next day in Newark by Essex County Sheriffs.
