Maplewood and South Orange celebrated the Year of the Horse on March 1 at The Woodland with Lunar Fest.
The event included performances representing Chinese, Korean, Japanese and South East Asian culture, along with fun, engaging children’s activities, and delicious food.
The horse is a symbol of energy, confidence, independence, strength and perseverance. The year of the horse is a time for making big changes, pursuing bold adventures, and seizing new opportunities.
The event was sponsored by SOMA Cross Cultural Works, Maplewood Arts & Recreation, and Seton Hall University.
