Kelly Bishop will introduce the movie Dirty Dancing on Wednesday, August 19, at Floods Hill.
The free movie showing is part of SOPAC and South Orange’s “Moonlit Movies” series. Each movie screening begins at 7:45PM.
Bishop, who appears in Dirty Dancing, is a celebrated Tony-award winner and South Orange resident. Bishop is best known for her roles as Emily Gilmore on the series Gilmore Girls, and as the mother of Jennifer Grey‘s character in the film Dirty Dancing. Bishop created the role of Sheila in A Chorus Line, for which she won a Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical. She also starred as Fanny Flowers in the series Bunheads.
South Orange Summer Nights is co-presented by the Village of South Orange, the Baird, and the South Orange Performing Arts Center and offers free outdoor performances and movies that thousands of concert-goers enjoy each year.
