The Maplewood Village Association — in partnership with the Maplewood Division of Arts & Culture — is bringing “Summer Streets” to the Village starting Saturday, August 29 and running through October 3.
On five Saturday evenings, excluding Sept. 19, Maplewood Avenue will close to vehicles between Inwood Place and Baker Street, creating a pedestrian plaza in the heart of the Village.

The orange area is closed to traffic on Saturdays from 5 pm to 10 pm, August 29 through Oct 3. Performances take place by the musical notes in map. Bring chairs and blankets to sit in the street and enjoy the entertainment.
The MVA is encouraging visitors to “Come downtown, grab dinner or a drink, dine alfresco, listen to live music, meet up with friends, and let the kids roam, play, and enjoy having the street all to themselves. It is an easy, relaxed way to enjoy the warm weather while it is still here.”

The streets will be closed Saturday evenings from 5 pm to 9 pm, with live music from 5:30-8pm each Saturday.
The events are weather dependent. Follow the MVA on Instagram and Facebook for the latest information.
