From Meadowland Park Conservancy:
It’s fall y’all and Meadowland Park is primed for two events to bring community and arts to South Orange’s best 45 acres. Meadowland Park Conservancy (MPC) on September 26th will host the second Meadowland Park Dance Festival, providing a rare outdoor venue to showcase local talent. That’s followed on October 10th with Corntoberfest – an Oktoberfest-themed cornhole tournament and fall festival.
Both events will take place next to the Skate House, overlooking the pond. Fall Dance Festival Returns Saturday, September 26 at 2:30 p.m.

This year’s Meadowland Park Dance Festival, with a theme of Under Story, features an eclectic lineup of contemporary, modern and pop-inspired dance works from returning performers and new faces. The festival, which takes place beneath the trees, is designed to remove the financial barriers that can make developing and presenting new work difficult for artists—and can also make attending performances at traditional venues prohibitively expensive for audiences.

Introducing Corntoberfest on Saturday, October 10 at 2:30 p.m.
It’s a new twist on an old classic. The annual cornhole tournament is back and combined with the best of Oktoberfest. This year’s competition will include a live oompah band, food truck and a beer and wine garden with selections from Pallet Brewing and Lum’s Cellars.
The cornhole tournament is limited to 32 two-person teams, with participants ages 16 and older invited to compete. Teams are encouraged to register early at give.meadowlandpark.org
