From Pollock Properties Group:
A WORD FROM VANESSA
“We have always believed that our business should be about so much more than buying and selling houses. We get to live and work in this extraordinary community, and one of our favorite parts of what we do is bringing people together and making a positive impact. Sometimes that means helping a high school student think about college. Sometimes it means cookies, ice cream or puppies as a vehicle for generosity. Sometimes it is an Open House food-drive. And sometimes it means filling an auditorium with Broadway performers and raising money for the arts. It all matters because it creates connection and makes a difference. We hope you’ll join us on our mission to CARE SERVE GIVE!!!”
Here’s what PPG has planned for the rest of 2026:
PAWS FOR A CUP
Saturday, October 3 | 9:30–11:00 AM | Maplewood Village, in front of Kim’s Nails on Maplewood Avenue
Bring the dog and your donation. The treat is on us.
Hosted by PPG agents Sheri Greenman and Kevin Kern, Paws for a Cup is a pop-up fundraiser for the Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter. Every four-legged visitor gets a free “pup cup”, a little cup of whipped cream made just for dogs, while their humans stop by the table to support shelter animals still waiting for homes.
Donations can be made in cash or by QR code at the table, and all proceeds go directly to Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter. The shelter is especially in need of cat food and cleaning supplies, and supply donations are welcome. Can’t make it? Donate at njshelter.org/donate-form-new or see the shelter’s current wish list at njshelter.org/donate-supplies.
Come for the pup cups. Stay to meet some neighbors, two- and four-legged.

ICE CREAM SOCIABOWL
Sunday, October 4 | 1:00–3:00 PM | 19 Highland Place, downtown Maplewood
New this year, and very possibly the sweetest event on the calendar.
Hosted by PPG agent Adrianna Donat, the Ice Cream SociaBowl is an old-fashioned ice cream social with a twist. Guests enjoy free ice cream from Village Ice Cream and can take home a handmade ceramic bowl, crafted by Indigo Clay Studio and by Adrianna herself, for a suggested donation of $20.
Every dollar benefits BackPack Pals, an organization that provides food to children in need in South Orange and Maplewood. Donations can be made by QR code or cash on site.
Ice cream, handmade pottery, and neighbors helping neighbors. Bring the kids, bring some friends and come join us.

COLLEGE COUNTDOWN: NEXT STEPS FOR HIGH SCHOOLERS
Saturday, November 14 | 11:00 AM–12:00 PM | Maplewood Memorial Library, Community Room
For families with college on the horizon, PPG’s College Countdown returns with practical guidance to help high schoolers and their parents navigate what can often feel like an overwhelming process.
Vanessa Pollock will be joined again by college admissions coach Christina Taber-Kewene and essay coach Stephanie Nasteff-Pilato of CTK College Coach. The session is timed for just after the November 1 early-application deadlines, when juniors can start planning their own path. The goal is simple: give families useful information, access to trusted experts, and a clearer understanding of what comes next. Stay tuned at @pollockpropertiesgroup IG or FB for registration details!

COOKIES FOR A CAUSE
Sunday, November 22 | 1:00 PM –4:00 PM | 350 Tillou Rd, South Orange
Who doesn’t love cookies??
PPG agent Robert Shaffron returns with Cookies for a Cause, and bakes up homemade cookies, gluten-free included, and serves them with coffee in exchange for donations to the RAIN Foundation, which provides housing and resources for homeless LGBTQ+ youth in Essex County. Guests are invited to bring new items from the RAIN Foundation’s wish list, including new t-shirts, blankets and towels, gloves and hats, body wash and lotion, and cleaning supplies.
It’s a small, joyful way to do something good during a season when generosity is already top of mind, and a reminder that when a community does a little bit together, it can add up to something pretty meaningful. Stay tuned at @pollockpropertiesgroup IG or FB for date and details!

BROADWAY FOR THE HOLIDAYS RETURNS DECEMBER 5
Saturday, December 5, 2026 | 4:00 PM Family Show & 7:30 PM Evening Show
Columbia High School Auditorium
And then, PPG will close out the year with the return of one of its most beloved traditions.
For a decade, Vanessa and Charlie Pollock have brought together Broadway performers and local audiences for an evening of extraordinary music with an even bigger purpose. This year, the tradition returns in partnership between SOMA Stage and the Achieve Foundation’s Pollock Arts Initiative, with Pollock Properties Group serving as presenting sponsor, along with Matt Keane, SVP of RATE mortgage.
Audiences can choose between a 4:00 PM family-friendly performance and a 7:30 PM evening performance. The lineup includes Kate Baldwin (Hello, Dolly!), Mark Evans (Waitress), Paige Faure (Cinderella), Becky Gulsvig (A Beautiful Noise), David Josefsberg (Back to the Future), Kevin Kern (Les Miserables), Ginna Claire Mason (Wicked), Megan McGinnis (Beetlejuice), Mary Kate Morrissey (Wicked), Justin Mortelliti (Escape to Margaritaville), Manu Narayan (Company), Zal Owen (Harmony), Charlie Pollock (The Great Gatsby), Graham Rowat (Sunset Boulevard), and Rebecca Covington Webber (Hamilton).
This one is especially close to our hearts. Charlie and Vanessa and the team have seen firsthand what access to music and the arts can do in a child’s life. Bringing Broadway performers into our own high school auditorium and knowing that the money we raise will help create those opportunities for more kids makes this so much more than a concert. The goal for the day is to raise $20,000+ for arts education, split evenly between SOMA Stage and Achieve’s Pollock Arts Initiative. Additional sponsors (at the time of publication) include: Class Act Performing Arts Studio, 5 Point Physical Therapy, Marigold Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics, Little Apple Arts, Olivia’s, and InTune.
Reservations are required and will be available November 1st. Stay tuned at @pollockpropertiesgroup IG or FB for registration details!

CARE. SERVE. GIVE. ALL YEAR LONG.
The homes PPG sells are in neighborhoods where its team members live, raise families, shop, volunteer, attend school events and show up for one another. That is why the company’s commitment to Care • Serve • Give has always extended well beyond a real estate transaction.
We believe business can be a force for good. For us, that starts right here at home. If you’ve never been to one of our events before, come. You absolutely do not need to be a client. Bring your kids, bring your dog, bring a friend. We’d just love to see you.
There are still a few months left in 2026. PPG plans to make them count!
With gratitude,
All of us at Pollock Properties Group
