From the Maplewood Recreation Department:
We’ll kick it off going old-school shooting 120 film with Holgas and shooting the town! While we wait for the film to come back (no instant gratification here!), we’ll play with shutter speed, aperture and various modes to see what they do. We’ll even do a bit of stop motion animation. We’ll work on composition, light and letting the child’s imagination come out and play. What to bring: a fully charged dSLR or a higher end point and shoot camera. While cell phone cameras are really cool – they don’t allow for us to do all the planned activities – unfortunately they can’t be the only camera your child brings. What else to bring: water bottle and weather appropriate clothing. Weather permitting, we will walk to the park and in town for a few of the classes.
When: Mondays: 9/28 – 11/2 (6 weeks from 4pm – 5:15pm)
