Stay – or Get – Fit this Autumn, with South Orange Rec Classes

The South Orange Department of Recreation & Cultural Affairs offers a few ways for you to stay or get fit this fall! Register at The Baird or online HERE.

TOTAL BODY CIRCUIT

Drop the kids off at school and come workout with us! This NEW Total Body Circuit class is a great option for those who are relatively fit and looking for a new experience in exercise AND for those just getting started in an exercise routine. The class includes separate exercise stations designed to work all muscle groups, keeping exercise interesting, invigorating, and fun!

This class is under the direction of our fabulous fitness instructor, Robin Weber. Robin holds certifications as a Group Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer and maintains special interest certifications in Body Toning and Conditioning. She has worked in the health and fitness area for over 20 years and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her classes!

Classes are held Wednesdays beginning Sept. 16, 9:15-10:00 am. Fee: $110 for 10 Sessions.

ADULT SOCCER

South Orange and Maplewood adults meet for informal soccer games at New Waterlands on Monday nights at 7:30 p.m. This group includes a range of fitness, age and skill levels.

WOMEN PLATFORM TENNIS PLAYERS WANTED

South Orange Maplewood Women’s Platform Tennis team is looking for new or experienced paddle players. The team practices on Monday mornings and plays in a league on Tuesday/Thursday mornings. The season runs from October through February. Contact Sandra Kurek at (973) 809-5180 for more information.

TENNIS LESSONS

Tennis clinics and instruction are offered by the US Sports Institute on the Baird courts for all ages and skill levels. Details and registration information are available on the USSI website at www.USSportsInstitute.com or by phone at(866) 345-BALL.
