From Keller Williams Midtown Direct in Maplewood:
Back in May of this year, Keller Williams MidTown Direct associates took the day off to “Give Where They Live” as part of RED Day, the company’s annual day of service, dedicated to renewing, energizing, and donating to their local communities. They organized a food collection drive at local markets and donated the collected items to a local food pantry.
Now, with supplies running short at the local food pantry and the holiday season approaching, they have decided to regroup and conduct another food drive. Keller Williams Midtown Direct Realty associates have again chosen to spend the day at the Kings’ in Maplewood and the Ashley Market in South Orange Village on Wednesday, October 14 from 10:00am – 6:00pm, collecting food for the local Food Pantry at Our Lady of Sorrows in S. Orange.
Shoppers can purchase items as part of their regular shopping trip and drop them off with associates outside of the store when they are done shopping. The food items that are the most needed to stock the pantry are pasta, past sauce, tuna (in water), soups, canned vegetables, canned fruit, rice, beans, peanut butter, low-sugar cereals and powdered milk. They will also be taking cash donations for the food pantry at the collection sites.
Tom Peter, Team Leader at the Maplewood office says, “Giving back to the community is highly ingrained in Keller Williams culture so I was not a bit surprised when our associates decided to step up and help fill the needs of OLS food pantry clients.”
The Keller Williams Midtown Direct Realty Market Center, located at 181 Maplewood Avenue, Maplewood is a full-service real estate firm with 100 sales associates.
