This summer’s rummage sale at Prospect Presbyterian Church in Maplewood will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20 and from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21.
What’s different this year for the 38th annual sale is that it is shorter than in past years — just two days of shopping for clothes and jewelry, housewares and books, children’s toys and furniture, all at bargain prices.
Proceeds go to local and worldwide charities, especially those serving children and women. Last year, the rummage sale saw $14,000 go out to organizations.
The selection of low-cost items also includes fine collectables, clothing for men, women and children, appliances, linens, luggage, bric-a- brac, bicycles, and exercise and sports equipment.
The second shopping day, Aug. 21, will offer a $5 bag sale.
The rummage sale is sponsored by Prospect Presbyterian Women.
The church is located at 646 Prospect Street, Maplewood, at the corner of Prospect Street and Tuscan Road.
