Paper Mill Playhouse has announced the 2016-2017 cast of its Broadway Show Choir — and five of the cast members are from South Orange, Maplewood and Millburn.
The Show Choir includes Hunter Kovacs of Maplewood, Josephus Gordon of South Orange, and Natalie Aris, Larry Toyter and Erin Hernon of Millburn.
The Paper Mill Playhouse Broadway Show Choir is a tuition-free, audition-based, exhibition show choir that stems from Paper Mill Playhouse’s Arts Education and Outreach programs.
The choir consists of 80 singer/dancers between the ages of 15 and 22. The Paper Mill Playhouse Broadway Show Choir is sponsored by Overlook Medical Center/Atlantic Healthcare.
Students selected to be part of this talented group will participate in free instruction from October to June, rehearsing on Sunday evenings at Saint Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Downtown Millburn. The Paper Mill Playhouse Broadway Show Choir is led by a professional staff of artists including: Shayne Austin Miller (Director), Matt Lowy (Music Director), Charles Santoro (Associate Music Director), Anthony Fania (Dance Director) and Peter Newes (Company Manager).
