Maplewood, NJ (August 24, 2018) — Female empowerment organization Fierce Females has entered into a partnership with South Orange-based businesses Work and Play and the General Store Cooperative.

Working together, teams from Work and Play, a coworking space with childcare, and General Store, a co-retail ecommerce site, will provide Fierce Females’ members with compelling educational seminars, fun networking events, and an easy way to engage and enroll in all.

“Fierce Females is extremely enthusiastic about partnering with Work and Play and General Store Cooperative. One of our core values is ‘Women Empowering Women’ and with this partnership we are living the value,” remarked Laurie Zlotnick, founder of Fierce Females.

This partnership is the logical next step arising from these organizations working together effectively in the past, including the recent promotion to Fierce Females’ members of a General Store class. In 2017, Fierce Females held “Branding Yourself to Compete in the Millennial Marketplace” at Work and Play to a sell-out crowd.

“Working with Fierce Females is a natural fit for us. Fierce Females, Work and Play and General Store Cooperative believe in empowering women and I’m excited to explore how together, we can provide professional development and other tools to support women and their careers,” said Deborah Engel, founder and President of Work and Play, and co-founder (with Amy Howlett) of General Store Cooperative.

To kick off the partnership, Fierce Females held their most recent workshop “Navigating Difficult People” in the Work and Play flagship location. Members appreciated the convenience as well as the aesthetic beauty of the location.

“The workshop was great, and I found the advice from (event leader) Pam Yudko invaluable. The space is convenient and comfortable. Fierce Females and Work and Play is a natural fit,” said Chrissy Hummel, Fierce Females member.
