Not all Mondays deserve to be dreaded!
Conscious Cocktails Gatherings — relaxed, multi-sensory, intellectual gatherings for women — invites you to join us next Monday evening, July 29th, for a special event at the inspiring Rebel Folk Studio in South Orange.
Our cocktails are created by Beth Nydick and Tara Roscioli, authors of “Clean Cocktails: Righteous Recipes for the Modern Mixologist.” Sip on these delicious cocktails while you engage in meaningful conversation about social responsibility, the power of hope, and the effect of homelessness on individuals and communities. Listen to a playlist curated just for the evening, and respond to relevant art and literature that we bring into the discussion. And do something good for others at the same time: the $25 ticket cost will be donated to Covenant House Shelter in Newark.
Tina Kelley, restless advocate, award-winning journalist, and co-author of “Almost Home: Helping Kids Move from Homelessness to Hope” will gently guide this vital conversation, adding valuable first-hand knowledge along the way.
And we’re so proud to announce that local rock star Thea Kearney will be marking the occasion with our first ever LIVE musical performance! The talented multi-instrumentalist and guitarist of alt-rock band Dollar Store Riot has written a song, “Take Me Home,” especially for this event.
Feed your curiosity, stimulate your senses, and connect with others IRL… Definitely a Monday to get excited about. Hope to see you there! Register via Eventbrite link below.
