From Summit Downtown
Summit Downtown, Inc. (SDI) is excited to announce a new contest to help support downtown Summit businesses! Starting on Thursday, July 16 and running through July 26 (normally SDI’s annual Restaurant Week), “Support Summthing in Summit” will give downtown supporters and fans a fun way to show their love for this outstanding downtown. Customers are encouraged to visit downtown Summit retail shops, restaurants and bars, and wonderful personal service businesses then share their support by posting a photo to SDI’s social media channels. Photos can be shared on Instagram or Facebook, and all must be tagged to Summit Downtown and use #supportsummthing. Each day a subcommittee will select a winning photo to receive a $100 Summit VISA Gift Card. After 10 days of postings SDI will share all the winning pictures for the public to vote on. The image with the most “likes” will win a $250 Summit VISA Gift Card. While SDI encourages visitors to shop, dine and buy from the local businesses, no purchase is necessary to enter this contest. The Summit VISA Gift Card is accepted at over 100 businesses and a wonderful gift for anyone to receive, they can be purchased online at SDI’s website. Be sure to keep the Gift Card program in mind when shopping for friends and family!
SDI will be kicking off the fun with a bonus night of Summit Street Sounds on Thursday, July 16 from 5-8pm throughout downtown. Artists will be at The Promenade, Lyric Park, the Horse Trough and on Maple Street. This presents a great opportunity to snag some contest pics and enjoy a beautiful evening in Summit!
“Support Summthing in Summit is a fun way to get people downtown to see something they’d like to buy or buy something they can’t resist,” says SDI’s Executive Director Nancy Adams. “Whether something delicious or something special to wear or gift, there’s something for everyone in downtown Summit and this is a great way to support our local businesses especially during this crazy COVID-19 time.” She adds, “Please remember to socially distance and wear your mask when out and about!”
