Classic Albums Live will perform Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon at SOPAC on October 20 at 7:30 p.m. Classic Albums Live masters the art of taking classic albums and performing them live, on stage with a collaboration of the world’s greatest musicians. Based in Toronto, Classic Albums Live has become a huge phenomenon as new generations are being exposed to some of Classic Rock’s finest bands, and discover the excitement of live performance.
In 1973, Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon shifted the Pop and Rock music scene indefinitely and modern musicians of all genres are still influenced by the album to this day. The Dark Side of the Moon holds the record for the most number of weeks spent on the Billboard top 200 with a groundbreaking 591 consecutive weeks between 1976 and 1988. From the Flaming Lips, to the Phish and Dream Theater, there are hundreds of full-length cover versions of Pink Floyd’s world-renowned album, but no cover compares to Classic Albums Live.
Classic Albums Live re-creates the musical brilliance of The Dark Side of the Moon which reminds fans, both old and new, of why they were moved by the music in the first place.
