Get those lawn chairs, blankets and 80’s dancing shoes ready — it’s time for an outdoor concert at Flood’s Hill.

Last week’s event was “rained in” to SOPAC, but the forecast for Wednesday looks more promising to hear the 80’s tribute band Max Headroom at 7:30 p.m.

Here’s a description of the band from the Baird Center:

Playing a full range of your favorite 80’s hits, complete with costumes, audience participation, and sing-alongs, a concert featuring Max Headroom is sure to be a blast from the past!

Enjoy the music, get up and dance, and try food from St. James Gate, Pizza Vita Pizza Truck, and Miele’s Concessions.

This week, a special treat: Montclair Art Museum’s ART TRUCK will be at the concert site from 6-8pm. Come early and the kids can make art with artist Dan Fenelon for free.

Here’s the line-up for the rest of the summer:

Wednesday, July 16: The Wisenheimers Rock, Pop, Top 40 Hits

Wednesday, July 23: John Lee & Friends Jazz (MAM ART TRUCK 6-8pm)

Wednesday, July 30: Rock the Hill Rock

All concerts are at Flood’s Hill in Meadowland Park, South Orange; in case of rain, shows move inside South Orange Performing Arts Center, One SOPAC Way, South Orange.

The 2014 Free Concerts in the Park series are presented by Village of South Orange, The Baird and South Orange Performing Arts Center.
