So you think you’re funny?

Clearly, it’s time to quit your day job and become a comedian by attending comedy school at the South-Orange/Maplewood Adult School this spring.

“As always, it’s going to be a riot and it will give you a chance to perform your material live in front of family and friends at The Comedy Cove,” wrote instructor and star of the web series Goodstein, Lee Navlen.

Classes will be held on Thursday’s starting March 16 and run to April 27 (skipping April 13), 7:15 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. at South Mountain Middle School. The cost is $115.00 for the course. Register here.

At the end of the six sessions, students will get to put their comedy chops to the test with a professional comedy show at Scotty’s Comedy Cove in Springfield Township, hosted by a professional comic and a professional closer. “So it’s a real comedy show at a real club where students will deliver the material they’ve worked on with me for six weeks,” said Navlen.

Navlen offers the following testimonials from former students:

“I loved this class. I learned how to make people laugh, without mentioning my net worth!” Bill S.

“This class gave me the confidence to tackle any public speaking. It may seem hard to write and perform standup but Lee created a positive environment to develop my inner comedian.”- Mike Schloff

“Lee Navlen is the comedy professor, a top notch coach AND a very funny guy. He has trained comedians in my family for generations! We highly endorse him!” –Jeffrey Wolfe
