interACT Theatre Production’s The Importance of Being Earnest has been nominated for six 2014 Perry Awards.

interACT Theatre Productions has been nominated for six Perry Awards for last season’s production of the Oscar Wilde classic The Importance of Being Earnest.

The Importance of Being Earnest ran for six performances over two weekends from January 17-26, 2014 at The Baird in South Orange.

The Perry Awards are New Jersey’s version of the Tony Awards for community theater. The six nominations signify the most ever garnered by interACT.

interACT’s nominations include:

  • Outstanding Costume Design of a Play: Dan Schultz, Meg Gilbert, Kate Soriano, Roseanne Keenan
  • Outstanding Properties of a Play: Susan Holtz
  • Outstanding Scenic Design of a Play: Nicholas J. Clarey
  • Outstanding Lead Actor in a Play: Erik Gaden
  • Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Play: Ted Cancilla
  • Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Play: Rosemary Wall

The Perry Awards are presented by the New Jersey Association of Community Theaters.
