The Associated Press has announced that Maplewood resident Brooke Lefferts, a former senior producer for Fox News and an editor and writer for outlets including Today.com and FoxNews.com, has been named the U.S. entertainment video editor for The Associated Press.

The AP reported that “Lefferts will be based in New York City and oversee the video output for broadcasters and digital customers, from spot news to planned events like the Academy Awards. She will manage a team of producers and video journalists in New York, Los Angeles and Nashville.”

Locally, Brooke was a contributor to Maplewood and South Orange Patch, which excerpted and reposted columns from her blog Carpool Candy, a “snarky and sweet” meditation on life in our very particular suburbs. Brooke has also contributed to VillageGreenNJ.com.
