Maplewood’s Own Christine Ebersole at SOPAC Oct. 11

Maplewood’s very own Tony Award-winning Christine Ebersole will be performing with the Aaron Weinstein trio in “Stings Attached” at 8:00 p.m this Saturday, October 11, at the South Orange Performing Arts Center. SOPAC is billing the event as “an evening of jazzed up Broadway classics and songbook standards.”

Ebersole won her first Tony for her role as Dorothy Brock in the 2001 Broadway revival of 42nd Street. She won her second Tony for the dual roles of Edith Ewing Bouvier Beale and Edith Bouvier Beale in Grey Gardens.

Ebersole has also appeared on Broadway in Steel Magnolias, Camelot, Oklahoma, Dinner at Eight and in the firmsWolf of Wall Street, Amadeus, Tootsie, and The Big Wedding, among others. She has appeared at Carnegie Hall, with the San Francisco Symphony, the Boston Pops, and at Tanglewood.

Jazz violinist Aaron Weinstein is a rising start who has performed at Carnegie Hall and Jazz at Lincoln Center.
