Due to the forecast for inclement weather, Meadowland Park Conservancy (MPC) has rescheduled its second annual Meadowland Park Dance Festival for Saturday, October 17 at 2:30 p.m. The festival will take place next to the Skate House, overlooking the pond.
The festival, originally scheduled for September 26, will bring an eclectic lineup of dance to Meadowland Park, featuring contemporary, modern and pop-inspired works from both returning performers and new faces.
With the theme “Under Story,” the festival takes place beneath the tall trees of Meadowland Park and provides a rare outdoor venue for local choreographers and performers to share their work with the community.
The festival is designed to remove the financial barriers that can make developing and presenting new work difficult for artists. It also gives neighbors, family members and friends an opportunity to support local performers without the expense of attending a performance at a traditional venue.
MPC invites the community to come enjoy an afternoon of dance in the park and support the artists who are helping make Meadowland Park a space for creativity, connection and community.
