In case you were wondering what you saw Sunday, in Maplewood Village:
Goodstein, the award winning Web-Series, is currently shooting season 4. Cast and crew were gathered on the corner of Maplewood Avenue and Baker Street on Sunday morning, catching the eye of Able Baker patrons and other visitors to town.
The fictional homegrown series, created by Maplewood resident Lee Navlen, stars Navlen as Jonathan Goodstein, lawyer turned Maplewood mayor.
Ian Grodman, another Maplewood resident, plays his best friend “The Rabbi.”
Tommy Nichols, also of South Orange-Maplewood, has joined the cast for the new season.
Goodstein is directed by award-winning filmmaker Hemant Tavathia. After sweeping most of the comedy categories at the LA-WEBFEST this past spring, “the cast and crew remain dedicated to making Goodstein, the funniest program on the web” — at least according to Navlen.
