Never been to a Rent Party at the beloved South Orange Elks Club? Better hurry, Friday is your last chance!

On June 13, Rent Party will bring a five-year tradition to a close and host its final show at the Elks Club, located at 220 Prospect Street. The live concerts, which raise money for local food pantries, will start running at 60 Woodland in Maplewood (formerly known as the Woman’s Club).

“We are genuinely excited about the opportunity to work with Maplewood Township to help reintroduce the community to 60 Woodland,” said co-founder Chris Dickson. “We are also grateful for the hospitality afforded us for the last five years at the South Orange Elks. We look forward to continuing our partnership with them in connection to the South Orange Elks Rent Party Garden.”

In addition to that venue, Rent Party also hosts concerts at other local venues and will hold their first outdoor music festival in September.

Friday’s line-up includes Wayward Bus, Wild Carnation featuring The Feelies alum Brenda Sauter, and Sad About Girls. The show runs from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m.; admission is $5 (but “the more you give, the better you’ll feel.”) Plus, expect some surprises and special guests.
