SOM Adult School Features Quilt Artist Bisa Butler 3/12

The South Orange-Maplewood Adult School welcomes artist, teacher and 1991 Columbia High School graduate Bisa Butler to the CHS library on Thursday, March 12, 7-8:30 p.m.

Known for her quilted portraits and designs, some of which have been displayed at the Smithsonian at Epcot Center in Disney World, Butler will explain how emotion and heritage are communicated through fabric art, according to a press release. She will share the stories behind her many pieces and involve the audience in the creative process.
