Summer With the Seniors in Maplewood Includes Day Trips, Theater, Aqua Zumba and More

From the Maplewood Department of Recreation & Cultural Affairs:

Whether you are looking for adventure or relaxation, the Maplewood Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department has you covered with senior activities.

Our Senior Programming runs all summer long and features trips, events and fitness programming.

Stop by our Senior Center at 106 Burnett Avenue to check out our latest calendar, or give Michelle a call at 973.763.0750 to see what we have coming up.

Our seniors took a June trip for a cruise on Lake Hopatcong that featured gorgeous views and a delicious lunch.  We boarded the Miss Lotta and learned a lot about the history of Lake Hopatcong. We enjoyed beautiful breezes and were home in the early afternoon.

Another new offering for pool members is our Aqua Zumba, which is a great workout and easy on your joints.  This is an intergenerational class that’s been well received, and we all look forward to each week.  Classes are offered Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Maplewood Community Pool from 11am to 11:45am.
