The following is from the South Orange Department of Recreation and Cultural Affairs:
Flood’s Hill in South Orange is the place to be each Wednesday evening all summer long. Beginning in June, enjoy arts and crafts in a scenic park setting. As the evenings get longer music takes center stage, complete with free concerts, food trucks, arts activities and games for the kids. In July comes the popular movies; bring your blanket and your honey and enjoy the show! All in all, its three full months of free arts programming for all to enjoy. Jointly produced by South Orange Department of Recreation and Cultural Affairs and the South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC). The events are sponsored by Maplecrest Ford Lincoln.
Yet to be decided upon are the films to be screened for this year’s musical themed movie series. South Orange is taking community input in an online poll. Click here to choose from Newsies, Grease, Into the Woods, Sing, Hairspray, Beauty & the Beast (1991 animated version), and Brave.
