There’s a new opportunity to get in shape in Maplewood!
Beginning September 16, Backyard Boot Camp will resume weekly classes in Maplecrest Park. Led by personal trainer Allison Kalsched, these classes are designed to be fun, challenging and motivating. There will be two weekly classes. Monday classes start on September 21 at 9:30 a.m. and continue for 8 weeks. Wednesday classes start September 16 at 9:30 .a.m and continue for 8 weeks.
Boot camp workouts are fast paced and high energy. The classes are open to men and women of all fitness levels. Each class is one hour long and includes cardio activity to increase endurance and burn fat as well as resistance exercises that will help build muscle and increase strength. Group exercise offers many benefits to those who participate.
One 8-class session (either Monday or Wednesday) is $170. Pre-register by emailing Allison at [email protected]. Participants may also drop in to any class for $30.

Allison Kalsched is a personal trainer certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine and she works with men and women at all levels of fitness. She sees private clients at the Millburn-Short Hills Athletic Club in Millburn in addition to running warm weather, outdoor boot camps.
