The much anticipated opening of Noodlefan in South Orange is a reality.

Noodlefan, a full service restaurant with Thai Asian cuisine, has opened its doors to the public at 14 Academy Street in South Orange.

“Anyone who has driven down Academy Street for the past several months probably noticed that work was being done on the building that used to be Family Buffet,” wrote South Orange Village Center Alliance Director Bob Zuckerman in his weekly Village Vibe newsletters.

“Now the time has finally come for this small chain of restaurants to open their sixth New Jersey location right here in our very own South Orange Village Center. They obviously specialize in noodle dishes but they also offer rice dishes, seafood, curries and other chef’s specialties.”

“I feel strongly that one of my very important responsibilities as your Village President is to test all new food that comes into town, quality assurance,” wrote Sheena Collum on Facebook. “So I did… and Noodlefan meets the yummy standard. The ribbon cutting will be on December 3rd (more info coming soon). In the meantime, please join me in welcoming Noodle Fan to our South Orange community.”
