South Orange’s own Ben Salmon, owner of Kitchen a la Mode, has been chosen as one of four 2016 industry All Stars by Gourmet Insider Magazine.
The All Stars were announced in the August issue.
Salmon was selected for his commitment to customers as well as the gourmet industry as a whole. “Salmon lends his unique voice and quest for answers to the ears of all who will listen, from vendors and industry members to his customers,” read the announcement.
“These Gourmet Insider All-Stars exemplify the passion and determination required to step up and stand out during what has been a challenging time for all retailers, especially independent storeowners. Their spirit and success strengthens the foundation of a channel that remains vital to the gourmet housewares business,” said Peter Giannetti, editor-in-chief of Gourmet Insider.
Salmon is featured in an article and also in a video interview (above). Not only does Salmon talk about his one-of-a-kind kitchen supply store, but he gives South Orange a big shout-out.
