Sunday marked the official ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremony of BGR: Burgers Grilled Right, located at the Gateway in South Orange.
BGR has been open — and wowing locals with its fresh, made-to-order burgers and other tasty menu items — since December. This is the gourmet burger chain’s first restaurant in New Jersey; there are more than 20 other locations, most in the Washington, D.C. area.
On hand were South Orange Village President Sheena Collum, Trustees Walter Clarke, Deborah Davis Ford and Steve Schnall, South Orange Village Center Alliance Director Bob Zuckerman, BRG’s owner/operators — and most excitingly — the Seton Hall Pirate! There was face painting for the little ones, and 25% off the entire menu for the excited and hungry crowd.
Check out our photo gallery below; and also make sure to watch the two videos: one of the ribbon cutting itself and the other of Collum chowing down on a kimchi burger. Enjoy!
