There is everything to like about Mod Studio, the new customizable children’s clothing boutique on Village Plaza in South Orange Village Center.
First of all, there are the great clothes in a convenient location. Inventory includes hot brands like TEREZ, Appaman, Art & Eden and more. Need an emergency pair of pants? Dress for the concert? Gift for the party? No need to run to the mall. Get it here in South Orange. The store carries children’s clothing sizes 4-16.
Second, Mod Studio is owned and operated by local resident Anna Rulnick. Yes, this mom-preneur is putting her smarts and hard work on the line for her town.
Third, kids can help design their own clothes. The design bar allows children to embellish their outfits, making them one-of-a-kind. It’s a great way to engage the kids, and it’s a smart move for a bricks-and-mortar store. Rulnick clearly knows that turning shopping into an experience is what on-street retail needs to stay alive in the age of internet shopping.
“We’ve been working with Anna for about a year now, first to help her find a suitable location for Mod Studio, and then once she secured this spot, to help her get her store opened,” Bob Zuckerman, the Director of the South Orange Village Center Alliance, told Village Green. “Mod Studio is exactly the kind of store that SOMA families are looking for, so we couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome Anna and her team to the South Orange Village Center where we know they’ll be a huge success.”
Rulnick joins a number of other new stores in South Orange Village Center, including BGR Burgers which will enjoy a ribbon cutting tomorrow, March 26 at 11 a.m.
Today, South Orange recognized Rulnick’s hard work and ingenuity by holding a ribbon-cutting for the new store. The grand opening included ice cream, a balloon twister and cool raffle prizes.
