VIDEO: Cool Clothing with a Conscience at Sadie’s in South Orange

Men’s and women’s clothing and home goods have come to South Orange, as local residents Andrew Kit and Catherine Fisher recently opened Sadie’s at 65 Valley Street.

Selections include brands with sustainable practices and charitable giving practices, such as United by Blue which “removes one pound of trash from our world’s oceans and waterways,” plus vegan and cruelty-free perfumes.

Bob Zuckerman, director of the South Orange Village Center Alliance, said this is the first new adult clothing retail business in South Orange in “a very long time!” (Mod Studio for kids opened earlier this year.)

South Orange Village President Sheena Collum posted a Facebook live video from Sadie’s this past weekend to introduce Sadie’s to local shoppers. Catherine Fisher “is a 3 year resident who chose South Orange with her amazing husband Andrew Kit and today is having a soft opening of her boutique clothing and home goods store,” wrote Collum on Facebook.  “Cat and Andrew, who live in Academy Heights, are now investing as business owners in this amazing community and transforming the Valley Street part of our town.”
